To deepen the integration of industry and education and promote collaborative talent development, over 350 faculty members and students from School of Electric Power at South China University of Technology (SCUT) visited Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. (Zhiguang Electric) on June 17 for a day of exchange and learning.

The delegation was warmly received by company leaders including Mr. Li Hailiang, Director of Integrated Management, Ms. Xie Fenglin, Director of Human Resources, and Mr. Chen Yonggang, Executive Vice General Manager of Zhiguang Energy Storage.

During the visit, the SCUT delegation toured the corporate exhibition hall and intelligent manufacturing workshop, gaining insights into Zhiguang Electric's innovations in digital energy technologies and integrated energy services. The visitors spoke highly of the company’s technical capabilities and commitment to innovation.

A key highlight of the visit was a technical seminar led by Mr. Zhou Haikuan, a technical expert from Zhiguang Research Institute, who presented on “Smart Microgrid Energy Management for Solar-Storage-Charging Integration.” The session featured in-depth discussions on cutting-edge technologies and real-world applications, sparking active engagement and lively interaction with the students.

As an official internship and training base for SCUT's School of Electric Power, Zhiguang Electric is committed to building a strong platform for university-industry cooperation—broadening students’ industry perspectives and enhancing their practical skills. This visit offered students a close-up look at the rapidly evolving new energy sector and provided valuable exposure to industry trends that will inform their future career paths.

Looking ahead, Zhiguang Electric will continue to strengthen its strategic partnership with SCUT, promoting the alignment of the education, talent, and industrial ecosystems. Together, both sides aim to cultivate high-quality professionals for the new energy sector and contribute to China’s “dual carbon” goals and the high-quality development of the energy industry.
